Who we are

The Wilburton Community Hub Ltd. is officially registered as a Community Benefit Society. Expressly certified as a “Not for Profit ” entity, any surplus or profits made will be put back into Hub projects like the Community Shop, or will be donated to local good causes and groups.

Community Shop

The opportunity to open a community run village shop was only going to be possible with substantial external funding.

Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Combined Authority (CPCA), with support from our community advisers at Plunkett UK, have been very supportive of our proposed scheme from the outset and have provided £50,000 of grant funding. East Cambs DC have also provided us with an additional £7500 of funding. Our generous community has also donated significant funds to get the project up and running.

We have an active committee whose sole aim is the delivery of a shop back into the village of Wilburton. The management committee was created on 8th May 2025 and consists of the following members :
